2023 Benoit Moreau Clos Saint Jean, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, France Roccolo Callisto The wine undergoes malolactic fermentationI was lucky to taste this in the winery and only one barrel was made. It hasnt been reviewed (Benot doesnt show it). One of the highlight, it comes from a tiny tranche of 60 year old vines in the northern section of the vineyard, near Les Vergers. Here, the soils arent marked by the red clay typical of the cru, but instead show a strong presence of limestoneyielding a wine thats deep yet mineral. Arrives March 2026.
