Raul Perez Bierzo Godello Ultreia La Claudina 2019 Enderle & Moll 2021s an enclave within the prizedGodello nearly disappeared. By the 1970s northwest Spain's great white grape was down to a handful of hectares, saved by a small group of growers who thought it was worth the trouble. They were right. Raul Perez, the man most responsible for Bierzo's modern reputation, makes La Claudina under his Ultreia label, the name taken from the greeting pilgrims called out on the Camino de Santiago that runs through this country. Godello in the right hands does
