The handle will come with a wooden wedge and metal wedge for a secure fit. Council premium handles are the finest replacement handles available. The handles are chosen for their premium grain orientation and density and are all Grade A American hickory. All Premium handles come with a coat of boiled linseed oil. Handles must be oiled regularly to prevent drying and loosening.
