Large 19th Century Antique Indian Hindu Ganesha Figural Votive Brass Oil Lamp, Circa 1800 Recently Added The jar of baluster-shaped formA large antique early 19th century Indian brass votive oil lamp modeled as the Hindu deity, Lord Ganesha, circa 1800. A finely cast brass figure of Lord Ganesha with a crown of snakes and four arms, the head of Ganesha having a hinged lid to fill with oil, to the front is a reservoir to receive a wick which is guarded by two rats (a symbol of good fortune in Hindu culture). To the rear is a carrying handle, the base having pierced and reticulated
