with a varnish finish giving it a bit of sheen

which included a collection of several other Indonesian nutcrackers

with a few irregularities to the glaze that appear as darker or lighter spots in a few places

and the patterns they form (outlined in dark blue and with yellow details) are just perfectly satisfying
