I’ve been having a bit of a moment with carvings of eagles in one form or another of late
but everything else seems to be in place
with the Cuban flags along with American flags suggesting Spanish American War era
shoe-shaped and otherwise
I guess I would call them
"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark vintage w German pottery I’ve been having a bitQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
