and which a little research has taught me is a late 18th/early 19th century Italian Renaissance Revival marquetry panel

These appear to be made of steel plate and welded to their bases rather than being made cast iron

Bowl along measures 6 3/8" across x 3 3/8" t

It looks to me like it did some actual work in the field

Pine for the rails, hand cut steel rod for the rails, very sturdy, nice dry patina, lovely and sweet. 10" l x 2" w x 7 16" d and in great shape.
