Juicy and intense but without the explosive fruit of the 2010
Chablisienne, Chablis Montee Tonnerre other_regions confirming yet another blockbuster Syrah(from all 4 climats though the blend is mostly from Chapelot). Here too a discreet application of wood sets off the floral suffused nose that is liberally laced with notes of oyster shell, iodine and lemon rind nuances. There is a lovely sense of refinement to the restrained and lightly mineral inflected flavors that somewhat curiously come up a bit short. This may well come together but I found this a bit awkward in its current form. With that said,
