but in the wrong place

with the rope carved in the round as it snakes across the top of the anchor

Disks incised with dial lines  and numbers and letters

giving it its shape and allowing for the carving out of a drawer and the carving of the year 1922 into the face of it

It appears to have been kept by a Miss Eleanor Rees at Camp Kowanis the summer of 1923

Bellflowers, Lovely 1872 Floral Watercolor Signed Marian Marcelin meansuring cup but in the wrong placeI will never tire of antique folk art watercolors of flowers largely painted by women and a lot about close looking, and as was explicitly noted on another watercolor by this same Marian Marcelin that I listed last week, of an iris she "raised herself," these often seem to me to embody several points of pride at once. And I think this is a lovely example, bellflowers I believe. Signed on reverse and dated 1872. 8 3 8" x 5 3 4" and in excellent antique
