Definitely among my favorite boxes I've found is this wonderfully primitive handmade checkers box with this fantastic hand-drawn paper label spelling "club checkers" in round letters and with two little clubs to boot

which is signed on the bottom

Signed on the bottom and in excellent condition

with just a little aging to the matte behind it

Lovely Old Wooden T-Square with Mirror Writing old china pigment Definitely among my favorite boxesIt really did take me a mirror to decipher the backwards writing on this old wooden t square, which I believe reads: "This is a true saying and worthy of all men." I believe this phrase refers to the pastoral epithets in the New Testament, which include "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." I am not entirely certain its meaning on this t square, though
