That is the question that inspired this design—a single form made with two layers

The single pots span a gradient of height and glaze tone—from light to dark and back—representing the natural shade of a wild setting

unglazed rim—a hallmark of Edith's Rim Line designs—which makes them distinct and stackable

Because of the inherent variation of the wood and its hand made nature each spoon will differ slightly

meticulously engineered

12x12 Platter in Komorebi Baskets & Storage That is the question thatKomorebi is a Japanese word used to describe sunlight filtered through tree leaves. The Heath Clay Studio team recreated this dappled light effect by applying heavy base layers of glaze, spraying another layer on top, and then carefully carving into the surface to reveal the organic shapes underneath. Available in limited quantities on our 12x12 Platter as part of our Summer Collection.
