It was made from a fairly thick slab of clay

Cool Old Green Striped Snake antique tea caddy including these great polka dottedThis snake looks almost as if it is made of wood, but I think that it is old rubber a bit pliable, but fairly stiff. I think it's just fantastic, with these green painted stripes, inset beaded eyes, and tiny little red tongue. I have no idea of its origins, and found it at a flea market, but really could not love it more. It's surface shows some age, which just makes it all the better. 9" long x 2 1 2" wide x 3 8 thick.
