5 1/2" t x 3 1/4" w x 3 1/2" d and in excellent vintage condition

I am pretty certain this one dates to the 19th century

allowing for some volume to the many cookies spilling forth

perhaps in absence of a fancier option

Beautiful Old Faithful c. 1920s Box of Chalk woven wool textile 5 1/2" t x 3This is the second box of Old Faithful "Sterling" chalk I've found, and I'll keep buying them when I found them, as much to look at as to use. Though not quite as fine as the American Crayon Company's "Waltham" chalk, sold for just "a trifle more" as noted on one side of the box, it's pretty fabulous chalk definitely incentive to find an old slate chalkboard if one doesn't have on already. I especially love the gently tapering shape with rounded tip
