written 100+ years ago by the RWM who made the drawing in black ink

so it also seems perhaps just a whimsy

Signed BC (engraved by hand) on the back

with one one stain to the bottom left of the front cover and bottom right of the reverse

The front is one layer higher around the perimeter, showing camel legs from Camel cigarette packs on that layer (quite precisely done, with the legs forming a deliverate pattern) and plain silver everywhere else, then all silver on the back side.
