who we know from a couple of letters tucked in a marbled paper pouch at the front of the book

plus a nice warm patina--I'd guess it's a hundred years old or so

but really a fantastic object for display

Really sort of iconic, and pretty hard to beat. 5" tall x 3" wide and deep. Good condition, nicely aged, very sturdy. A few dark marks
