though the links dangle nicely to the side when set tabletop

I believe it was likely a burning tool that was used to render this wide eyed owl on fungus conk--making it feel more as if this owl is emerging from within than imposed on top

but this one I'm especially fascinated by because of the strangeness of the perspective

I spotted this little one laying flat in a glass topped case and there was just an immediate sense of recognition. Not much more to her than a head and broken armed torso (making her feel like an ancient Venus of sorts) but she has quite a soul! With something about this awkward linen wrap around her waist with squashed down ruffled hem just the right thing too. 2 5 16" t. Exactly as
