Description
(from 50+ year old vines)
Tasted at the Branaire- Ducru dinner
such as its flinty nuances
A cool and beautifully perfumed nose offers up essence of various red berries and exotic spice nuances along with notes of Asian-style tea
The palate is wonderfully complex and moreish
Bellevue Mondotte Vintage:2004 (from 50+ year old vines)Ruby red. Roasted plum, toffee, game and nutty oak on the nose. Lush, fat and stuffed with fruit. A wonderfully pliant 2002 with noteworthy density and richness. Sound acids and suave but firm edged tannins give this excellent balance. Finishes very long and ripe. This is even stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. Stephen Tanzer
