Description
Beams of tannin dominate over the radiant fruit that was much more expressive when the wine was in barrel
There is ample structure here as well though it’s largely buffered by all of the mid-palate extract and I particularly like the depth
powerful and rugged medium full flavors that culminate in a dusty
dry and impeccably well-balanced finale
despite being surprisingly youthful for a wine that is already ten years old
Grave (Pomerol) other_regions Beams of tannin dominate overThis estate tends to produce light, fruity, but often superficial Pomerols. The 2011 has plenty of up front appeal, but slightly more depth than expected. The color is a healthy dark saturated ruby, and the wine displays plenty of caramel, black cherry, spice box and earth notes. Drink it over the next decade.
