Last year from barrel this was restrained to the point of being almost mute but that is no longer the case as the nose is now overtly expressive with very ripe and again borderline exotic aromas of yellow orchard fruit along with the more classic scents of citrus

Otherwise there is first rate volume, punch and mid palate density to the muscular flavors that are also quite firmly structured but even so there is less youthful austerity than is typical for Clos de Vougeot. Still, this is definitely going to require at least moderate patience and like the Chambertin, this is excellent as well. (92 95) 2030+
