This kit was created to take the place of the timer valve which on the original Racer was the mechanism that helps the cleaner back up as there was no backup valve included with that cleaner
This tire is black in and made from a solidified rubber material which gives the cleaner the ability to move with ease around the pool's bottom surface
this way it doesn’t add any additional wear or cause any damage to the cleaners lower body

The adapter is installed similarly; we find it easier to install the cleaning head
