(now Southwark Cathedral)
showing figures looking at the exhibits in the Zollverein Department
The monument was erected in 1836 and the area of Battle Bridge was subsequently re-named King's Cross
Miseries of London Finish:Stretched Edgware Lodge'Miseries of London', 1812. A woman walking down Wapping Old Stairs being assailed by a group of watermen plying for trade. Two figures watch from a balcony, whilst the sleeping man in the foreground is oblivious.
