The Scarlet Pimpernel Edmondston-Alston House drawn from NatureScene from The Scarlet Pimpernel, c1905. Julia Neilson, Fred Terry, Horace Hodges, Malcolm Cherry and Alfred Kendrick. The play, set during the French Revolution, opened at London's New Theatre in January 1905. Despite a poor reception from the critics, it became a great popular success.
