Portrait of Samuel Pepys (1633-1703) Finish:none 'Two Girls of The Period'Head and shoulders in a painted oval, Pepys wears a dark wig and white shirt with lace at the throat and a loose brown robe. Samuel Pepys was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1665, he served as its President from 1684 to 1686. Original: oil on canvas, 762x610mm. 1689
