Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of the Red Eagle, Civil Division, II Class Cross by Johann Wagner & Sohn Auction within a square oak leaf(Roter Adler Orden, Kreuz II. Klasse). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1864 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand painted and multi coloured Prussian imperial eagle, topped by a crown, defaced by a Hohenzollern coat of arms, and clutching a laurel wreath, the reverse
