Saxe-Altenburg, Duchy. A Bravery Medal Newly Listed a four-point star composed of(Tapferkeitsmedaille) Instituted 20 February 1915 by Duke Ernst II. A circular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse bears a raised crossed paty with a central Saxon coat of arms, the 12 oclock arm bears a crown, the 9 and 3 oclock arms bear the date 1914, the reverse bears a crowned cipher E II (Duke Ernst II), with loop for suspension, measuring 32. 16 mm (w) x 35. 91 mm (h), fine.
