Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse with a central applique bearing a red enameled Geneva Cross on a white enameled field, within a black enameled ring with gilt inscription of DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ (GERMAN RED CROSS), the reverse plain, on loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon with double snap button
