A Rare German Naval Air Gunner's Badge Hold A Submariner Knights Cross WinnerA Rare German Naval Air Gunner's Badge Recently acquired in Bavaria; In gilded brass, die stamped, unmarked, weighing 10. 7 grams, 45. 6 mm x 73 mm, vertical pinback, likely produced c. 1920, a worn badge that remains in near extremely fine condition. Footnote: By 1918, Germany had only a handful of large aircraft for naval operations, and these were the aircraft intended to carry air gunners, among the other crew.
