Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a postwar replacement ribbon, with the integral ring demonstrating the classic off centre situation characteristic of this variation, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, the reverse bearing an inscription of ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DIE HEIMKEHR DES MEMELLANDES 22.
