A silver five point star with large ball finials, and a silver wreath in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents a right facing female portrait surrounded by the inscription REPUBLICA DE CHILE, the reverse medallion presents a single laurel branch surrounded by the inscription AL MERITO, surmounted by a Chilean Condor with open wings (measuring 45. 60mm in width), badge measures 41. 50mm (w) x 55.
