The Conscience Clause 2013 Gurney & Co'The Conscience Clause', 1872. A father bemoans the fact that his son, having attended school for a day, began to pass on the lecture about the evils of drink. This highlights the moral aspect implicit in much teaching in Ragged Schools of the time.
