Portrait of Nehemiah Grew (1641-1712) Size:S: 50 x 40cm 1929 Golden ArrowHead and shoulders portrait of Grew in wig, robe and neck cloth. A sprig of plant appears above. Inscribed: 'NEHEMIAH GREW, M. D. SECRETARY TO THE ROYAL SOCIETY.' The print has been trimmed, removing a view of Gresham College which appears at the bottom of this work. Nehemiah Grew was elected a Fellow of Royal Society in 1671. He acted as Curator of Plants at the Royal Society 1672 1673. Original: stipple engraving. 1800
