A First War Cenotaph Erection To The Fallen Medal Archive 73 mm (w) x 60A circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears a central pebbled iron cross paty, encompassed by a border inscribed with STIFTUNG REICHSEHRENMAL, the reverse centre bears the inscription DEM GEDENKEN UNSERER GEFALLENEN (THE MEMORY OF OUR FALLEN), within a border inscribed with ZUR ERRICHTUNG DES REICHS EHRENMALS (FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE REICH HONOUR), on suspension loop, measuring 34. 21 mm (w) x 37. 30 mm (h), fine.
