Constructed of bronze with multi coloured machine embroidery, the obverse consisting of a rectangular plaque surrounding stylized initials BDM over a hollow background exposing a period original ribbon, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, stamped with an issue number of 24002, and marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logos and maker code M1 15 for Ferdinand Hoffsttter, Bonn, measuring 28. 70 mm (w) x 14. 42 mm
