English Electric P1 - Sweat Shirt Mustang 'Ferocious Frankie' was renamed as the MartletEnglish Electric P1 From 1953 three prototypes were built, including WG760, with Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire engines. This aircraft first flew from Boscombe Down in 1954, piloted by Roland Beaumont. During its third flight WG760 achieved supersonic flight. This design is also available as a t shirt, long sleeve t shirt and hoodie.
